Lovely Sofas is owned and operated by Saxon Furniture Limited, a family owned British company that has been expertly hand-crafting traditional quality sofas for 30 years.

All their furniture is handmade, at their workshop in Lancashire, by an experienced team of time-served upholsterers, seamstresses and fabric cutters. In fact many of their skilled craftsmen have grown up with the business, and what they don’t know about making a perfectly lovely sofa, just isn’t worth knowing.

We designed and developed a completely new e-commerce website for a new fabric sofa brand: Lovely Sofas.

The new site has a warm and lovely feel, and rather cleverly allows the customer to pick their favourite style, apply a lovely fabric, pop on some neat feet, choose their perfect studs and away they go.

We’ve constructed the site specifically with the user in mind, and designed their purchase journey to be a simple and straightforward process. With a good smattering of call to actions throughout, and easy to find contact information, we think it all looks rather lovely.

To back up our user journey theories we completed a large amount of A/B split testing and mouse mapping.

Although ensuring the website fits the visitor is the key goal, we also wanted to make it simple for the business.  By integrating the website with their in-house business sytems all orders and sample swatch requests are managed with ease.

Now time for a cup of tea and lie down on the sofa.
