LA fitness is a market leader when it comes to offering a wide range of fitness options in a convenient location.
We’ve all done it, purchased a gym membership, and after a few weeks fallen out of love with the idea of keeping fit. We were asked to design and develop a simple promotional microsite to discover all those pathetic excuses for not going to the gym. There was an ulterior motive to the website as well, it was to entice people to fall back in love with keeping fit.
The Pathetic Excuses microsite ran for 6 months gathering excuses from previous LA fitness members and increasing renewal sales. We integrated the website with the LA fitness inhouse membership management system and SagePay to handle payments. The end result was a fantastic success and really good fun.
We turned a few of the excuses into fun Adobe Flash animations to give the website a little bit of extra life.
This campaign proved to be incredibly successful, not pathetic at all. With a high number of members coming back to LA fitness return on investment was seen in just a few days.
